Post-trip Madness

I'm pretty sure this is what I'm going to look like by the time I get back from PA.

Gibbering and mumbling something about a stapler, and setting things on fire. Good thing I packed nerve pills.

See you all in two weeks!

Don't leave me.

  1. I love love LOVE your header. I just saw the "Brutally Honest Motherhood" because of the visible 'B'. It got me wondering if this was intentionally white, and now I'm part of a special group of people who have seen it...

  2. aww, I'm sure things will get better. I'm only 18 but from what I hear from my mother, motherhood is worth it and you'll get pretty attached to that little girl of yours. =)

  3. My kids are 13 & 15 and I can tell you it will be insanity until the day you die. I think my kids get up in the night and secretly plot to drive me over the edge. I have brought this up with them and they have never actually denied it.

  4. Ok, I've been contemplating commenting for about a week now. When I first came across your blog I was a little put off. Please don't misunderstand me, I got 3 kids in a little less than 5 years, and the last 2 are boys! I am well acquainted with the not so pretty side of motherhood. Anyway, here is my actual comment: While I love that you are approaching that side of motherhood very few dare to talk about, it did feel as though you were spreading a lot of hate and ugliness over your daughter. I would love to see you balance your blog with some of the cutsy stuff too. That being said, hopefully you are writing your blog for you and not for me! I do love the latest illustration as I have felt just like that after a 4 hour plane trip with my 3 who are 6, 4, and 2.

Only if you're curious, it's got a lot of sugar and spice in it. :)

  6. dysfunction: I fixed it so now EVERYONE can see it and feel special. :D

RS: It is worth it, don't get me wrong. I love my daughter more than life itself and I'd gnaw off someone's face if they tried to hurt her. But Lord Jesus, some days I do feel like putting a sign around her neck saying: "Need a kid? She's yours!" and leaving her somewhere. All the joys of motherhood.

Janice: Well, seems I'll have to post a disclaimer of sorts. I do NOT, in any way, shape, or form hate my daughter. I love her more than anything in this world. And the first time some little bastard at school tries to hurt her, I'm probably going to mow him down with my car, and beat his parents up. Also, I suppose I'd have a more balance blog, if my LIFE was more balance. But she really is a rebellious, mean little shit 99% of the time. And if I started posting the cute stuff, it would totally defeat the purpose of this blog. This is my place to rant and rave and scream about all the frustrations of motherhood. And the cute stuff is so few and far between I'd hardly have any posts. But I appreciate your comment, and I hope you'll keep reading. I'm still pretty fucking awesome. :D

lily: haha thanks! I know, all in less than a month. Aren't you so PROUD? lol
